About Us

    Founded in 1950 by Harvard law School friends and classmates Francis X. Murtagh and
Harvey Cohen, for more than seventy years MCB’s goal has remained constant: to deliver top
notch legal services at affordable fees. We pride ourselves on having clients, not cases, and
building lasting relationships with both the business entities and the individuals we represent.

 

    While we maintain a broad general practice, our particular area of expertise is in the
unionized construction field. We represent numerous specialty contractors, trade associations
and members thereof, and other participants in the construction industry. In addition to
negotiating agreements for major construction projects, our lawyers have litigated contract
disputes when they have arisen, and handled antitrust and even RICO actions which our clients
have faced.
